About Me
Thanks for visiting my site! I am Susan Kaplan and live in Eagle River, Alaska. I have been involved in jewelry design and glasswork since 2003. My work in this area started as a beading hobby that quickly got out of control as I took classes in metalwork, lampworking, and glass fusing; developed an online store; and equipped my home studio.
Apart from designing and creating jewelry and glass pieces, I currently work at the University of Alaska Anchorage in the College of Health and Social Welfare. Prior to my move to Alaska, I spent 23 years as an occupational therapy professor at Florida International University in Miami.
