When You Make Cake Assemblage Art Box
Oh those memories! This box contains clips from 1923 and 1925 cookbooks as well as priceless images from a 1940's Aunt Jenny Spry Pastry Mix Cookbook. Aunt Jenny was just a treasure trove of cooking knowledge--as long as you used Spry (like Crisco). She was not shy about giving cooking advice to young brides who might not be sure how much grease to add to any given recipe.
This box also has backgrounds of 1940's wallpaper (from a sample book--nice washable kitchen wallpaper), and don't miss the back cover with Mr. Husband complimenting the little lady (with her always-present pearls)! This makes a great gift for someone who has a vintage style kitchen, or for anyone who appreciate mid-century vintage style.
Measures 2.5" (width) by 4.25" (height) when closed, about 4.75" by 4.25" when open. This can stand alone or be placed in a small plate stand.
Be sure to check out my other assemblage art boxes! I have been collecting small vintage pieces for years and have now put these to use in small assemblages. Each box takes me several days (up to a week) to design and create, and I take great care to make sure the pieces are well adhered (it won't fall apart!).
